good bed rails, great price July 27, 2010

Looked all over for decent bed rails at a good price. Amazon came through once again. Work well. Somewhat easy to pull down and make the bed if the sheet doesn't get tangled in the hook section. They keep my son in his bed which is what they are meant to do. He is pretty active at night and likes to pull and push on them. They are pretty sturdy. So far, we haven't had an incident. Would recommend! Color was light blue not dark blue. That was a pleasant surprise. I'll be able to use them on my daughter's bed too without taking away from her pastel bedding.

This product worked great on a queen bed we had for our 2 year old daughter. (The bed was an extra one from our parents.) Thus, my daughter had a lot of room to roll, and these side rails worked great. However, we bought the rails in November 2009 and in May 2010 the two plastic clips that hold the rails tight under the mattress broke! And we only found out when my daughter pushed against the rail and fell out of the bed!
So overall, they worked well, until the clips broke. Maybe these rails are not good for a queen bed - that would be my concern.

I absolutely recommend these rails. My daughter has leaned on them, sleeps up against them and they are STRONG! Additionally, I enjoy the feature that allows you to fold them down while changing sheets.

Different Color Than Picture June 30, 2010

We've had our blue double bedrail now for six months. We ordered the royal blue color as shown in the picture, but it was actually a light baby blue. It's still a nice color. There are two straps with clips that go underneath the mattress. Both clips broke within the the first two months, so we just tied a the straps together in a knot to keep the bedrails in place. The rails are very sturdy (when firmly secured under mattress) and just the right length for a twin bed. It was easy to assemble without my husbands help. I would buy again for the price, but watch for loose rails when the clips break and tie the straps instead.
