 Great Mattress - Light-weight - Very tight fit with the crib August 18, 2010

We are very happy with this mattress - our little one also seems to sleep well with it. The mattress fits snugly into the crib, which helps alleviate any issues with SIDs. The only issue is that you need to remove the mattress to change the sheet due to the snug fit, but the mattress is so light-weight that this is not a big problem. I would recommend this mattress to a friend.

yes, crib mattresses are supposed to be firm, but even the soft side of this one is still quite firm if you ask me, never even used the infant side. we added a mattress pad which makes it a little better, but not much. other than that, happy with it. did not have any defects as mentioned in a couple of other reviews. lightweight which makes changing the sheets very easy.

Bought matress to avoid SIDS and to avoid buying two matresses. Baby sleeps well in it and can move around in it well. Probably could just have bought the matress for todlers bc both sides are really hard. Fits in crib great and easy to change sheets!

My wife shopped around for weeks at retail stores trying to find the best mattress for our son that is set to arrive at the end of March. She reviewed all the websites and found that the Colgate mattress offers the best of all worlds having two different sides for firmness that are best for baby... along with having the highest ratings from all of the consumer and safety organazations.
We finally decided on the Colgate Classica III Dual-Zone due to the reviews and quality that Colgate is known for. We got the mattress and found that it is THE BEST. Quality is excellent and is made in the USA and customer service is second to none.
Fit and finish are superb. Excellent product, would highly recommend to anyone! Thanks.

I originally went to the store to purchase the Classica I after reading several great reviews and also seeing that it received the highest marks for quality and value from "Baby Bargains". Knowing that many sheets will be changed in the middle of the night, went for this foam one because it is very lightweight. For an extra $10, we upgraded to the III version because it is dual-sided: firm side for baby and softer side for when we convert the crib into a toddler bed. Babies absolutely need a firm mattress to reduce risk of SIDS. However, there is no reason why a toddler would need a mattress that firm. Therefore, we deem this mattress to be a GREAT VALUE because we will not have to go out and purchase a separate one for the toddler years. GREAT BUY! Found much cheaper at a local baby store - $139!
