From Pregnancy To Baby Blog

I would like to know what kind of pregnancy symptoms do you get starting FROM CONCEPTION to before your period is due, if any? I have looked at other answers but they are talking about 2 weeks after the period is due, but I already know that if you miss your period that is the biggest sign. Please answer if you know of any, because I am on clomid and this my third month and last try for getting pregnant with clomid and so far it seems like it has not worked. I am so anxious to know before my period is due as to what the symptoms are. Thanks for your kind answers.

The reason there aren’t any signs is because you have to wait for baby to implant for it to start affecting us if its going to. Some get spotting 7-10 days after ovulation. Others wait for there period because testing to early could give them a false negative. Normally 2 weeks after ovulation is about the time you would get your period, about the time you HCG levels are high enough to show up on a HPT. Some ppl think symptoms in there head, but in all reality, there false. Some do become pregnant and others don’t. First signs are sore breasts, cramping, bloated. All happen about 10+days after ovulation everyone is different and drugs make your body do weird things. Good luck!

Here is another post where we talk more about this issue:

Sorry it hasn't worked yet. Unfortunately I didn't get symptoms until I was about 6 or 7 wks along. Only after I missed my period did I recognize them as pregnancy symptoms and not period symptoms.

I could not sleep after getting pregnant. And I had to pee in the middle of the night. And if I did not pee right away it hurt. Sounds crazy but its how I knew. I can go all day without going pee. But when Im prego, forget that I have to go pee at least 1 time at night and 3 times during the day. That and some mothers just know, its a feeling you get. Good Luck hope I could be some help.

i had sore breasts and cramping the day of a few days after conceiving (it might have been ovulation pain?). they went away for a few days, then returned witha vengeance about a week after conceiving, continued for several weeks. then i took a test about 20dpo and it was positive.

All the Tell All signs you get to let you know your period is coming are all the same signs you will get for pregnancy, that is why the biggest sign of pregnancy is missing your period!

Increased body temp, increased cervical mucus, sore breasts, bloating, fatigue, hunger, headaches…all these associate with our periods, but missing your period is almost a sure cut sign your pregnant!

Everyone is different. I believe when I got pregnant I first noticed the symptoms about 9 weeks after conception. I had it bad, too.

im sooo confused, im pregnant, 16wks to be exact. my edd is 9.4.09. im trying to figure out exactly when i got pregnant so i can determine who the father is of my unborn son.. in the month of nov. i had unprotected sex with an old fling simply because i found out that my boyfriend of 6yrs was cheating, now that i think about it i simply regret retaliating in this way but whats done is done… well before him an i hooked up i had just come off of a very light menstrual period that i NEVER had before because i was on depo provera which is a birth control (1st odd thing) the last time me and my fling had sex was nov. 24 and when i went to wipe off i was bleeding…. i thought maybe we had gotten a little rough but then 1day turn into 3 and 3day turned into 7 so i came on twice in the month of nov… dec. 9 my bf and i hooked up and had sex about a week 1/2 later i woke up to some very painful cramps, thinking to myself i must be coming on again but i NEVER did soooo dec.29 my friend and i decided to take a preg test and mines came back PREGNANT!! at 1st i was scared because i didnt know by who, between the 2 but then i became a little more confident when i thought that it could be my bf but now out of all days today im unsure simply because of the edd.. can someone please help me determine who the father is please!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear So Confused,

While it is hard to tell what your normal cycle would be on depo provera, I can give you a little info based on your due date. If you are due on 9/4/09, and you have a normal cycle of 27-29 days, you most likely ovulated around Dec 12 or thereabouts. Since sperm can live inside the body when we are fertile for up to 5 days, it would be my guess that you conceived after your night together on 12/9. Of course, the only way to know for absolute certain is to wait until after the baby is born and do a DNA test.

It is not uncommon to have a light cycle after coming off of chemical birth control. Good luck with your pregnancy, and I hope you have an empowering birth. :)

I am a mother of 1 child and trying for my second child.
First day of my period is 6/21 and it came on time. Then on 7/1/10 I started to vomit and breast started to tender, feeling nausea. I am still vomiting and body temperture is still high up. My tummy is getting bigger for the past two days. I’;ve calculated that my concieving date is not until 7/5/10 -7/6/10. Is it normal be having all these symtoms before my concieving date? On 7/12/10 i’ve taken a pregnancy test and came out negative. Can I be pregnant?

I just wanted to say that i liked how you put “for the baby to implant” instead of “for the fetus to implant”.
:D
it was just nice to see haha
And thanks for the info!

Both times i was pregnant, I knew before my missed period that something was different. Part of it was intuition I guess. The only time I have ever had heartburn has been when I’m pregnant, and the heartburn started a week before my missed period both times. With my second pregnancy, the exhaustion hit me 3 days before my missed period. I was so exhausted I had to take a nap during my lunch break. One day I came home from work at 4pm and started crying because I was so overly tired even despite taking a quick nap at lunch. That was 2 days before my missed period. Missing my period and taking a HPT only confirmed what I already suspected both times.

By applying egg white: is another effective treatment for this condition and it helps to dry pimples fast. Make your face clean by using the first method and then apply the egg white. For those prone to a dry skin mix it with lemon juice and otherwise mix it with a bit of honey.

Well I just recently started trying to conceive a baby and it was only four days ago. I’m expierncing cramps just like I would be for a period but I’m not due until another couple of weeks. It like I feel different in a way but everyone is telling me you can’t get signs that fast. Crossing my fingers it’s the real thing though. I hope this helps any. . .

i am 22 years old, i have been trying to get pregnant for a little over a year and no luck.i had two miscarriages one at the beginning of trying and the other 3 1/2 weeks ago. my cycle is irregular but i kind figured out when and how to calculate my ovulation. i took a ovulation test Sunday the 19th and it had a happy face but a day later my boobs started to hurt and are a lil swollen, have migraines, im also very tired and i have had a lot of cramps. i also have a good feeling of being pregnant, but i dont know how i can get symptoms right away. i wondered if the happy face was a false because i experience all the egg white descriptions and the pre ovulation thicker mucus stuff a couple days before. im confused and anxious to know already.

If you do not have intercourse but are exposed to precum (skin to skin), and ejaculation (through underwear) is it possible to become pregnant. Also, if you are exposed around 4 days before your period, and you do not miss your period and it lasts the full week, is there still a possibility of pregnancy?

Acne can occur for a variety of factors and understanding what causes it can help you know how to treat acne. For instance, in the event you acne is caused by an overproduction of oil then paying for a treatment that focuses on reducing skin debris is likely not going to be as effective as a treatment focused on reducing oil production.

We can not give any kind of medical advice in this blog. You should most definitely talk to your parents about this issue even if it is hard to and then you should see a medical professional.

My period is never on time. I could’ve concieved about 3 weeks ago.. I’ve been having a headache and a little bit of nausea. But I’m not sure if I should take a test yet. Any advice on if it’s time to take one ?

Have an opinion?
